Department
Sanctioned Leadership Workshop
East Palo Alto Unit 472, District 26,
will be offering a Department-sanctioned
leadership workshop on Saturday, October
18 th . We are teaming up with Jackie
Robinson Unit 252 of District 23, and
will be
meeting at their Post hall at 3828 W.
Slauson Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90043 . Registration
will begin at 8:00 AM, and the workshop
will conclude around 2:30 PM. We will
have a working lunch complete with pizza,
salad, drink, and dessert for $7/person.
You can purchase an attendance card, instructor
card, or recertification card for $1 each,
and a leadership pin for $13, if you desire.
The workshop will be facilitated by Lou
Thompson, Past Department Secretary/Treasurer;
Linda Workman, Past Department President;
Anita Biggs, Past District 23 President;
and Kerry Finley, Past Unit 472 President.
Department Leadership Chairman Alzora
Carter will also be present, and Districts
18, 19, 20, 23, and 24 have been invited
to join us as well. Reservations are required
by October 8 th via Evite or by contacting
